Parry Catering Equipment, like a lot of other catering equipment manufacturers, are currently facing a series of challenges to their position in the marketplace. From the the influx of cheaper imported products from the Far East to the increase in stainless steel prices.
“Everything we make is made in stainless steel. In the stainless steel market this year we have seen increases in price of 65 percent so far, however, we do everything in our power to ensure our prices are still competitive.” states Terry Cooper, Managing Director for the Parry Catering divison
“Sourcing good quality imports of products is also a challenge.” he continues, “We do import a small amount of products ourselves. It is always a challenge to make sure it is to the quality that people expect from the Parry brand.”
Overcoming or adapting to these obstacles is paramount if the company are to reach their goals of doubling their product portfolio and being the number one UK manufacturer of catering equipment. “Responding to customer needs is very important to us.” says Terry. “In the last few months our new range of Hot Cupboards and Mobile Serveries have flown out of the door and the introduction of our competitively priced refrigerated units are set to follow the same trend.”
At the end of the day Parry Catering Equipment believe that the strength of the Parry brand is what will enable them to continue to be one of the leading catering equipment manufacturers for the foreseeable future.
